Residual weakness after COVID-19 diagnosis

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues in the United States and around the world, more data is being collected on the lingering effects from the virus. Most clinical studies have shown that myalgia (muscle pain) and fatigue are frequent symptoms in patients with COVID-19, regardless of the severity of the disease (Ambrosino et al.). In addition, patients that require a prolonged hospital stay or use of a ventilator can fall into a chronic state of fatigue for months on end after discharge.

Chronic fatigue can limit your ability to perform your day to day tasks such as getting dressed and carrying out a full day of work. In these cases therapy can be very beneficial to help regain the strength lost during your treatment of COVID-19. JTOPS offers patient specific recovery programs for those individuals trying to return to their normal day-to-day activities. Therapy can help expedite your recovery and make you feel like yourself again!
